Where Would Kikuyus Go If They Bolted Out of the UDA Party Today? The Shocking Answer Is In Plain Sight

Ruto's relentless dismantling of the Jubilee party now makes a lot of devious sense...

The recent cabinet reshuffle by the Ruto administration is most probably the last straw for the Kikuyu community. All indications now, are that a massive rebellion is brewing in the bowels of the ruling UDA party.

Clockwise from top; Karua,Gachagua, Njenga and Kioni

The recent cabinet reshuffle by the Ruto administration is probably the last straw for the Kikuyu community. All indications now, are that a massive rebellion is brewing in the bowels of the ruling party.

Which leaves us with the million shilling question; Where would the house of Mumbi go next if and when the rebellion within UDA crystalizes into a full blown mass migration? Or a sudden urgent need for the community to unite under one political umbrella to plot the way forward?

It now emerges that William Ruto may infact have forseen this possible scenario long before the first cracks were even a mere rumour.

Ruto's dismantling of the Jubilee party now makes perfect sense. With a calculated move, he thought ahead and destroyed the very platform that could have served as a refuge for the UDA rebels. Knowing that the disenchanted members could potentially defect to Jubilee, Ruto took preemptive action to cripple their chances of regrouping under the Jubilee banner. Most will remember how Kanini Kega and former Muranga Women's rep Sabina Chege were used quite effectively to accomplish that mission. It is also still fresh on the minds of many how relentless the assualt on the Jubilee party was. Indeed many political observers were very surprised and wondered where all the venom was coming from.

With the benefit of hindsight it was a strategic maneuver to ensure that those who wanted to join the rebellious faction had no safe harbor within the party thus discouring migration or at the very least considerably slowing it down. By removing this option, Ruto effectively cut off any potential lifeline for the UDA rebels, leaving them with very limited options.

This move also highlights Ruto's astuteness in politics. Recognizing the threat that the UDA rebels would possibly pose in the future, he acted swiftly and decisively to protect his own interests. By destroying the very foundation they could have relied on, Ruto has shown that he is no mere bystander in the political arena, but a shrewd tactician who thinks several steps ahead.

Will the house of Mumbi end up stranded?

But anybody who wants to imagine that the Gikuyus may end up stranded with nowhere to go politically is tragically mistaken. Even if they are currently members of the UDA high command and think tank.

The community's political survival instinct is legendary. It has been deeply embedded in the DNA of every man and woman born a Kikuyu for centuries and would likely guide their next steps. Given their historical inclination towards organization and strategizing for collective progress, it is feasible that they would seek alternative political homes that align with their interests.

Several possibilities emerge in such a scenario. The Kikuyus might form or join another existing political party that resonates with their ideologies and priorities. Alternatively, they might opt to support a candidate or party that champions their causes, regardless of their ethnicity. The desire for political leverage and representation would likely motivate them to assess the political landscape carefully and align themselves with a group that offers the best platform to advance their goals.

And now the recent move by Azimio leaders Martha Karua and Jeremiah Kioni start to make perfect sense.

What if...

The house of Mumbi problems within the ruling UDA and Kenya Kwanza formation have not emerged suddenly. The truth is that they have been simmering for some time now.

It would not have been too difficult for any politician to foresee a situation where there would be massive migration by the community, seeking a new political home.

What if...

...the major objective of Martha Karua and Paul Kioni in forming the Kamwene Leadership Forum lobby group was to establish a platform that can influence political decisions and promote their political interests and future political clout in the community? With the knowledge that Kamwene has the potential to evolve into a full-fledged political party in the future, Karua and Kioni may have aimed to lay the groundwork for its' transformation.

One of their primary goals could have been to consolidate support and create a united front among like-minded individuals who shared their vision for Kamwene. By forming the lobby group, they sought to mobilize resources, build networks, and attract individuals who could contribute to the growth of Kamwene as a future political party. They aimed to establish a strong political presence and influence within the country.

Additionally, Karua and Kioni aimed to advocate for policies and initiatives that aligned with the populous community's political ideology, with the objective of gaining credibility and support among the public. Their intentions were to use the Kamwene Leadership Forum lobby group as a platform to shape political discourse, influence decision-making processes, and ultimately pave the way for the successful transformation of Kamwene into a fully fledged political party in the future.

Think about it again...
