The Day Fatuma Gedi "drowned" Parliament with evidence against Ruto:
Speaker Justin Muturi prematurely adjourned the House on a day of high wire drama after Wajir Woman representative Fatuma Gedi tabled a heavy suitcase of evidence of land-grabbing allegations against Deputy President William Ruto.
The House has proceeded for recess up to May 10 when Muturi will make a ruling on the Fatuma Gedi documents.
Virtually all the information presented by Ms Gedi is in the public domain only that she provided a thick volume of documents to prove the very serious allegations against the Deputy President. This included the court ruling against Ruto in the Muteshi case.
Speaker Justin Muturi adjourned the House after Embakasi East MP Babu Owino failed to heed to his directives to leave the chambers for gross misconduct. It is said that Mr Owino told the Speaker something to the effect that he had taken sides and this saw him ordered out of the chamber.
