Uhuru's political influence has been in doubt and yet he is the most popular second term president Kenya has ever seen. Many say that it is just UDA vengeful propaganda at work and the truth will emerge soon enough.
One of the ways that this will be put to the test conclusively is in the upcoming titanic battle for the Machakos gubernatorial seat being vacated by two-term governor Alfred Mutua in August. UDA's Johnson Muthama has already launched his campaign for the seat, but a new entrant from State house will no doubt change the game. Nzioka Waita's ability of getting things done whatever the obstacles is legendary and started from his days at Safaricom doing a very tricky job. But can he wade the murky waters of Ukambani "siasa ya kumalizana" to emerge victorious?
