Scary military reaction to General Ogolla crash | Kenya news

Why does Ruto think that the Intelligence community can solve all his political messes?

Despite the fact that Uhuru has not been actively campaigning (as a former president his hand are tied). Despite the fact that he has NOT been on the rooftop of his car in every village in Mt Kenya region.

And despite very few brief appearances in the region…

He has today turned around his situation from the most hated politician in Mt Kenya (towards the tail end of his presidency) to the most loved politician in the region and well beyond.

So… how the heck did he pull it off?

Well, whatever the man does in his free time (courtesy of what Ruto told us he does in his free time, in the run up to the 2022 General elections, calling Uhuru mlevi) it is clear that the man also has brains of the political kind.

Indeed former President Uhuru Kenyatta has serious political skills and is extremely smart, something that some of us found out when it was too late.

His political opponent and rival, current President Ruto has been quoted as saying now is not the time to be popular. Insinuating that when elections are just around the corner he has a magic switch that will make Kenyans fo9rget why they hate him so much and suddenly push him back to popularity. I guess all dreams are valid.

Ruto fatal error number two
Assuming that the intelligence community can solve all problems for him

In retrospect, it is now clear that during the 2022 presidential elections (especially when Wafula Chebukati “cooking” election results at Bomas), Ruto had his people deep inside our intelligence service.

Indeed this was a key component in his plan to win the presidential elections with less votes than the real winner.

And so it is easy to understand why somebody like Ruto would assume that since it worked at a very critical moment to make him president, it will always work.

It is super fascinating and indeed instructive that this is the same mistake that the second President of the Republic of Kenya Daniel Toroitich arap Moi made in the 80s and '90s. You see his intelligence boys came up with a plan of ensuring that nobody would ever dream of opposing Moi in the distant future by creating a fictional thing called Mwakenya.

For the sake of younger Kenyans, what was Mwakenya? The Mwakenya Movement was an underground socialist movement in Kenya in the 1980s formed to violently overthrow the Moi government (that was the narrative of the government).

Yep, in case you didn't know it, Mwakenya was pure fiction. The intelligence Community at the time planted seditious anti-Moi documents amongst a few disgruntled people and critics of the government. Especially in institutions of higher learning in the country.

In other words they framed these poor Kenyans for being members of a fictional thing that did not exist and then crashed that fictional Mwakenya ruthlessly. Thus creating so much fear in the country that Kenyans understood that there were better ways of committing suicide than being seen as opposing Moi.

I was one of the victims of the fictional Mwakenya and Moi’s terror campaign to get Kenyans to fear him. And in those days I was just starting out in my journalism career and yet to write a single political article. But I was still a victim only because I was a freelance writer for somebody who was a Mwakenya suspect. And I was therefore suspected to be guilty by association, according to the then Special branch intelligence unit. That was the only reason.

And the intelligence boys caught up with me and I was a guest of the state for four horrifying days that I will never forget. Now during one of those days at a police station (because they were moving me from one police station to another, every few hours, to avoid relatives or senior cop dad knowing my whereabouts. This happened at the Kamukunji Police station cells where I realized I was a celebrity. Cops were coming from all over town just to see me and what I looked like. And so I was there a terrified young kid but they did not see that. They saw a dissident a very brave young man who had dared to dream of overthrowing Moi by violent means. The kid who was not scared of dying for what they believed in.

But even after all that terror from the Moi regime, where many Kenyans lost their lives for nothing, did Moi and his KANU still end up going home? Oh yes they did. In fact in my opinion those activities of the intelligence community at the time speeded up KANU’s exit from power. It did the exact opposite of what it was intended to do.

Bottom line, the intelligence community can never keep an unpopular leader in power. And this has been proved time and again, all over the world.

High price Ruto has paid for thinking that Uhuru is not smart | Kenya #i...

Ruto has paid a very high price for underestimating former President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. The truth is that Ruto has always believed that Uhuru is not anywhere near as smart as he is...

Senegalese do a "Kibaki tosha" and usher in a young president: The inside story

"Kibaki Tosha." In 2002 Raila Odinga uttered those now famous words at Uhuru Park, Nairobi that handed Mwai Kibaki a landslide win in the presidential elections later that year.

Recently, something very similar happened in Senegal, which brought to light many other strange connections between the current political situation in Kenya and what happened recently in Senegal.

Well known opposition leader in this West African country named Ousmane Sonko has also been through a lot to fight for the people for a long time. In the same way, Raila Odinga is a very similar person right here in Kenya.

The West has worked hard to keep Sonko from becoming president, so he was disqualified from the most recent race. But he backed Bassirou Diomaye Faye, who was the secretary general of his own political group. That was enough for Faye to become president. In the same way, a nod from Raila to Edwin Sifuna would be enough for him to win the presidency if elections were held today.

But this amazing Senegalese Cinderella political story has more to it than meets the eye.

Faye was arrested on April 14, 2023, and spent 11 months in jail. He wasn't freed until March 14, 2024, which was only 10 days before the polls he won. In other words, he went from being in jail to being President in 10 days.

It seems too good to be true. A story that is so amazing that it might be hard to believe and at a casual glance one may quickly dismiss it as only a fairy tale. But in fact, that's what happened.

Now the question is what happened behind the scenes that made the 44-year-old former tax inspector president and Sonko and Faye the power duo (since his first official act was to make Sonko, his political ally and guide, Prime Minister)?

In fact, some very interesting and game-changing things are happening on the continent. I think that the opposition's shocking win in Senegal has something to do with the situation getting worse very quickly in the west. And we are talking about the problem of illegal immigrants.

A lot of them risk the high seas on unsafe boats to get to the coast of places like Spain. For example, last year there were a lot more people leaving Senegal on shaky wooden boats. Walking Borders, a Spanish group that works to protect migrants, says that almost 1,000 people died trying to get to Spain by sea in the first half of 2023.

But the big western countries that are most affected by the large numbers of illegal immigrants coming into their countries are also the main ones who are making the situation worse. Why? The reason for this is that these are the same countries that make deals with corrupt African states that make the people who live in those countries poor.

These same countries help Western cities clean dirty money from corrupt African politicians. In the end, people in those African countries can't stand living there any longer, which leads to illegal immigration to the same Western countries that are helping to keep crooked governments in power.

Some people in the West are slowly realizing that the problem of illegal immigrants will quickly get out of hand if nothing is done to change the current situation. The idea that it is good for the West to have more peaceful and wealthy African countries is becoming clearer to more Western leaders. There is an urgent need to stop the growing number of people trying to sneak into Europe, if not for any other reason.

It looks like these things played a part in the surprise turn of events that got Ousmane Sonko and Bassirou Diomaye Faye out of jail and into power in a flash.

The remarks that caused Ruto and UDA to get very hot under the collar that they lied to Kenyans that it was Uhuru bitterly talking about Raila. Uhuru Kenyatta's controversial remarks about traitors at a Catholic church function has caused quite a stir in Kenyan politics. And with all the different narratives flying around it is time to dig a little deeper to investigate what the former President said and the boiling pot of politics circling the most popular retired president in the history of Kenya.
---

Political developments in Kenya recently seem to have an uncanny resemblance to what has been happening in Senegal culminating in a recent Cinderella story that saw a young opposition candidate elected the new president. How so? And what exactly is bound to replay itself in Kenya, concerning Raila Odinga and his secret choice of successor?

Unveiling the Surge of Fake News in Kenya

In recent times, Kenya has witnessed a dramatic surge in the spread of fake news, a concerning trend that has unveiled the desperation of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party. The proliferation of misleading information and false narratives has created a perplexing environment, leaving citizens puzzled about the motives behind such deceptive tactics and making it that much more difficult to read the politics correctly in Kenya today.

Most people do not realize that the prevalence of fake news in Kenya has had a profound impact on society, leading to increased polarization and confusion among the populace. With future elections looming on the horizon, the spread of misinformation poses a significant threat to the integrity of the democratic process and the overall stability of the nation.

Unraveling the Desperation of UDA

The sharp rise in fake news can be attributed to the desperation of the UDA party to sway public opinion in their favor as they rapidly lose any little support they still had remaining. By resorting to deceptive tactics and spreading false information, UDA aims to manipulate the narrative and gain a competitive edge in the political arena. However, such tactics not only undermine the credibility of the party but also further erode the trust of the Kenyan people.

The Role of Media Literacy in Combating Fake News

In light of the escalating spread of fake news, it is imperative for Kenyan citizens to enhance their media literacy skills and critically evaluate the information they encounter. By empowering individuals to discern fact from fiction, the impact of fake news can be mitigated, fostering a more informed and resilient society.

As the wave of fake news continues to surge, it is also crucial for Kenyans to remain vigilant and skeptical of the information they consume. By questioning sources, verifying facts, and engaging in critical thinking, individuals can fortify themselves against the onslaught of misinformation and safeguard the integrity of public discourse.

This should be a stark reminder of the lengths to which some parties will go to manipulate public opinion. By unraveling the desperation behind such deceptive tactics and bolstering media literacy skills, the Kenyan society can combat Itumbi boys and the spread of misinformation and uphold the principles of truth and transparency.

Kenya politics has reached that situation where the big boys have suddenly gone quiet while brand new emerging names of lesser politicians are moving rapidly towards centre-stage even as most Kenyans want to ignore them. Actually these are all the signs that something very big and unprecedented is definitely cooking... and the BIG boys are quietly behind it all.
===

There is some very strange unexplained panic in State house after the long weekend. On the surface of things, the court injunction halting the audit of the 2022 presidential elections via NADCO should be good news for UDA and William Ruto. But for some unexplainable reason it is the source of a crisis deep in the corridors of power. The reason why will shock you to your bones.

TJ We Remember: A Photo Tribute To Tom Mboya From Kumekucha

Tom Mboya was one of the most prominent personalities in Kenyan history. He was born Thomas Joseph Mboya on 15th August 1930 and was assassinated at the tender age of 39 on 5th July 1969. It is widely believed that his profile and illustrious career as a brilliant and charismatic leader, which was seen as a challenge to the then political establishment, led to his assassination.

Tom Mboya arriving at Uhuru Park for what was to be his last Madaraka day June 1st 1969. He's with his wife Pamela and two children. At this point things were tough politically, but would he have guessed that he would be dead in about a month's time?

Welcome to the latest Kenya news, Kenya politics and more analyzed by veteran Kumekucha Chris for the real inside story; Just like individuals, governments must always do their best to avoid making mistakes that they cannot come back from. In Kenyan politics, the Ruto administration has made some mistakes that they can never hope to come from. Kumekucha highlights 5 deadly ones in this revealing video.

Gachagua purchases a political party: The shocking inside story | Kenya news. Welcome to the latest Kenya news, Kenya politics and more analyzed by veteran Kumekucha Chris for the real inside story; Rigathi Gachagua the Deputy President has just purchased a political party, according to sources. But there is a much deeper story here and quite twist that will leave you breathless when you hear this story to its' shell-shocking conclusion.
---
It has now been merged that the exclusive story reported in a leading local daily about the secret meeting in Mombasa between Raila and Ruto was fake. And even what the second highest ranking government official Rigathi Gachagua told Kenyans about the same meeting was a lie.

Amongst the many questions that this revelation raises, the most pressing one is this: who are the puppet masters pulling the strings behind this grand charade? Could it be that they are seasoned political players, manoeuvring to stir the hornet's nest, or is there a darker, more sinister motive at play here?

What was Rigathi Gachagua's role in the fake story?
It is important to scrutinise Rigathi Gachagua's part in this drama. It's no secret that he has a political axe to grind. Everybody knows that he is hell bent against any "handhsake" between Ruto and Raila because it would make him politically irrelevant and trash him swiftly into the garbage can of political history.

Could he have been the one to plant the story, and then confirm it in a speech in Machakos, knowing it would cause a furore? Or was he simply a pawn in a larger game, manipulated to further someone else's agenda?

Unravelling the Thread
Whatever the case might be, the facts remain the same. The story was a fallacy, cleverly constructed and artfully fed to the media. There was no clandestine meeting in Mombasa. The question that needs to be answered is: Who stood to gain from this lie? Who had the most to benefit from the chaos and confusion that inevitably followed the story's publication?

Did the architects of this plot anticipate the fallout, or were they blind to the potential consequences? Did they look at the bigger picture, pondering how this could potentially shape the political landscape, or were they simply interested in the short-term gains, the immediate sensation and upheaval?

The Quest for Truth
In the end, the search for the truth is a journey fraught with danger and deception. To unmask the culprits behind this elaborate ruse, one must be prepared to peel back the layers of subterfuge and delve into the shadowy realms of political intrigue. Are we, as citizens and as a society, ready to confront the uncomfortable truths that may be unearthed in the process?

More importantly, are we ready to hold those responsible accountable for their actions? Or will we simply let this be another chapter in the annals of Kenyan political history, dissected and discussed but ultimately forgotten?

Who really benefitted from Raila looking bad?
It is an age-old axiom in politics that the person who stands to gain the most from a scandal or controversy is often the one who orchestrated it. So, in the maelstrom of the fake story about Ruto meeting Raila, it is only logical to ask: who specifically would benefit from painting Raila in a negative light? In other words, who would stand to gain the most by sowing seeds of discord and doubt?

The Rival Camps
The most immediate suspects would be Ruto's own political team. By circulating a false story about a clandestine meeting between Ruto and Raila, they could potentially undermine Raila's credibility amongst his supporters. The narrative would paint Raila as a double-dealer, willing to meet secretly with the man he publicly criticises. It could be a cunning political ploy.

The Unknown Third Party
What if the source of the fake story is an unknown third party, operating behind the scenes? This shadowy figure could have done it with his aim NOT being advantage to either Ruto nor Raila's camps, but simply a crafty provocateur seeking to cause disruption for their own ends. Is there a puppet master in the shadows, pulling the strings and stoking the fires of controversy? It's a tantalising question, that could neatly answer plenty of questions here.

What is clear, however, is that someone, somewhere, planted this fake story in the media, and they expected to benefit from the fallout. The challenge now is to unmask this puppeteer, to expose the mastermind behind the curtains.

What was Raila's strategy in not responding immediately and forcefully to the scandalous story about him?
In the labyrinth of political maneuvers and media warfare, the silence of Raila Odinga, the alleged other half of this contentious meeting, is as striking as it is perplexing.

A seasoned politician and a stalwart in the Kenyan political arena, Raila has often been known for his quick, decisive responses. Yet, in this scenario, his characteristic promptness was conspicuously absent. Could it be that his silence was not a mere oversight but a calculated move?

Consider this – one could argue that Raila's silence was, in fact, an eloquent response. By not responding immediately and forcefully, he effectively stoked the curiosity and speculation of the public, thereby keeping the dubious story alive and the spotlight firmly on it. Was this a deliberate attempt to maintain public attention.

"Silence is a true friend who never betrays" - Confucius.
Perhaps Raila took a leaf out of Confucius' book and used silence as a powerful tool to shape the narrative. After all, in the realm of politics, perception often outweighs reality. Could it be that by not refuting the allegations, he indirectly endorsed them, leaving his adversaries to grapple with the fallout?

Then again, maybe the answer is much simpler. Could it be that Raila, the seasoned campaigner, was merely biding his time? Waiting for the opportune moment to respond, when the clamour reaches its crescendo, thereby maximising the impact and resonance of his words?

Or perhaps, in the grand scheme of political chess, Raila saw no need to respond to what he considered a non-issue, a fabricated story peddled by nameless sources seeking to stir controversy and discord.

What then, is the truth behind Raila's silence? Is it a strategic masterstroke, or a simple indifference?

What dark forces are these ready to drive Kenya to the brink with such dangerous games?
President William Ruto meeting former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are of paramount concern. Who indeed, you might ask, would undertake such a perilous enterprise, one that has the potential to destabilise the precarious peace we currently desperately hang onto?

The Players
Unravelling this curious case involves identifying the key players. In a political theatre riddled with subterfuge and intrigue, this task is seldom straightforward. The possible characters in this elaborate charade range from the obvious to the covert, from those within the political arena to those operating behind the scenes. But who are they, and what is their motive?

The Motive
Could it be a manoeuvre to sow discord within the ranks of the Azimio coalition, a crafty play to trigger the self-destruction of Raila's outfit? Or possibly a scheme to shift public attention away from more pressing issues? The motive, like the characters, remains shrouded in mystery.

"In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
This quote from Roosevelt, a master of political manoeuvring in his own right, suggests that such a scenario was unlikely to have been a random occurrence. It begs the question: who stood to gain the most from the fallout of this spurious report?

The Origin
Tracing the origins of the story is like traversing a labyrinth, full of dead ends and false leads. Was it a leak from within one of the camps, a deliberate act of misinformation, or a simple mistake that spiralled out of control? Or was it the work of a third party with a vested interest in the political turmoil that ensued?

Whoever they are, these unseen forces playing political chess with Kenya's stability must be held accountable. But are we, as a society, willing to demand that accountability? Or will we remain passive spectators, allowing the puppeteers to continue their dangerous games?

The Power of Misinformation and its Potential to Influence Public Opinion
It is crucial to grasp the immense power of misinformation and its potential to shape public opinion. In the age of rapid-fire digital communication and click-bait journalism, the fabrication of an alleged meeting between Ruto and Raila was not just a simple deceit; it was an act of deliberate manipulation, one that sought to influence the political landscape and steer public sentiment.

Consider this: misinformation is not merely an errant gust of wind; it is a storm deliberately conjured, a tempest carefully orchestrated to create chaos and confusion. It does not merely misdirect; it aims to create discord and to breed doubt. As Winston Churchill once said, "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its trousers on."

"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its trousers on." - Winston Churchill
When applied to the political sphere, this phenomenon takes on a particularly disturbing aspect. Misinformation can, and often does, distort the public's perception of a politician or a political event, resulting in skewed opinions, biased judgments, and even manipulated election outcomes. It is a dangerous tool that, when wielded with malicious intent, can undermine democracy and destabilize nations.
