It is now emerging that many stories we have always been fed by team kieleweke about how Ruto will not be on the 2022 ballot were NOT factual. And they were in fact something else with an important political objective. We can call them red herrings.
Meanwhile, DP Ruto is no doubt feeling the heat over the remarks made by Meru Senator Mithika Linturi at his January 9th 2022 Eldoret Mega Rally using the word madoadoa which brings back memories of the 2007 election troubles. But the full political consequences on Ruto and his 2022 bid for the presidency are going to generate even more heat. Indeed this is one political crisis that will be difficult for him to come back from.
As 2022 Succession politics heats up with only a handful of months to the elections, most Kenyans are unaware of the real power in some folks who will remain in office waiting for the new president. And there are many things a presidential candidate may promise that they will never be capable of delivering once they are in office and have been briefed by these powerful men in the shadows.
